Having been to Capri
two years ago, I already knew some of the best places to see on the island. As
soon as we got off the ferry, we took a taxi to Anacapri, a small town
overlooking the whole island. In Anacapri, there’s a single-person chairlift
that takes you to a lookout platform. The last time I was there, it was really
cloudy and we had zero visibility at the top. This time, we were able to see
for miles, and it was one of the most surreal things I’ve ever seen. The colors
below were incredible – boats were dots with little white jet streams behind
them, and the flowers stood out for miles.
After taking the
chairlift back down, we headed to the actual town of Capri to have lunch. Our
waiter was an authentic Italian (I swear he might have been a pirate, too) who
really added to the whole ambience of the day. At 3:15 we caught the ferry back
to Sorrento so we could explore the alleyways of the coastal town and shop for
Limoncello.
